Community is Unity! is the driving force for Fairburg after Fex devastated the world. The families in and around the farming town must live their town’s motto if they are to provide for themselves and the people of the nearby city of Abandale. 

Mae and Ruth Walker, 16-year-old twins, have grown up on a farm on the outskirts of town. They have a bond that only twins do. Everything changes for them when Mae is selected to go to Abandale University. When she stops writing, Ruth is the only one who suspects something is wrong.
